The race packet is in my possession, which makes this whole experience terrifying.  I was fine until I saw my swim cap.  And my race numbers.  And pretty much all the super lean-mean people who are going to pummel me.
I spent a fortune in the merchandise tent…there were so many shiny things.   Which means that I have to finish this race.  Otherwise, I’m going to have a 70.3 race kit, sweatshirt, coffee cup, visor, wicking tee….  [Well. I’ll just open up an eBay store if the wheels fly off.]

I still feel bizarre.  Hoping all the work was enough. Hoping this headcold is going to stop sometime tonight.  The Expert is quiet.  It’s a weird place to be… thinking about the distance to travel on Sunday, hoping the weather behaves and everything goes well.

Tomorrow, we’ll check in the bikes and start our 24 hour long prayer vigil.

  1. GOOD LUCK!!! You are going to rock this race! Don't let your head get to you on the nagging cold symptoms and the weather. You get what you think about whether you want it or not. So — start visualizing yourself coming out of the water, cycling like a champ, and crossing the finish line with a smile on your face. For those last couple of miles, imagine your kids at the finish line and how you would want them to see you.

    This is YOUR DAY.
