It’s really hard to manage All The Things and get them all “right.” It’s easy to get wires crossed and intentions twisted up and all messy. I usually do a “decent” job, but every once in a while I am reminded of how very (very) mortal and untimely and clumsy I can be.

At the end of the day, I just want to love my spouse, hug my kiddos, swim or bike or run, and try to make sure that I made people feel good about themselves…there’s so many people in the world who just want to make you feel like sh*t…

I try not to be another one out there. So when I unintentionally bother or offend someone, it truly bothers ME.

I really just want to tell people to “just keep moving forward” and somehow provide some sort of hope in this crazy world and to do it with love. I guess I haven’t done that 100% of the time lately, even unintentionally, so I’d like a reboot with love.

That’s all Swim Bike Momwas about in the first place (love and triathlon), so I’m going to return my main focus to my Army where you guys know what a dufus I am and love me anyway.

Love you all (especially Tony Robbins, if you are listening. :))

love

Thanks for listening.

  1. I admire your honesty and love the motives that guide your life. You are totally right that no matter how hard we try to do the right things and keep it together, we hurt people sometimes without meaning to. I know what you mean when you say it bugs you. It just seems to fester in me. I really needed to hear the “keep moving forward” advice.

  2. I don’t know what happened or what was said, but I have always been encouraged by your words, even when you’re not trying to be encouraging, because you tell it like it is and are always yourself. You don’t have an “Internet persona” and your real persona – they are one and the same, as far as I can tell. Keep doing what you do.
