Went to my favorite spin class this morning. Just kidding. But it’s not my favorite. (Actually, nothing will ever top spin instructor who taught with his eyes closed the entire class…. anyway).
The mix1 raffle is over, and in case you guys missed it, SBM friend Karen W. won the gear, as picked by Rafflecopter. Funny thing is: Karen lives in the Atlanta metro area. Even better? Karen works out at the exact same Lifetime that I do. And yet, we’d never met. We had the chance to chat via the blog about the horrific spin class. So as fortune would have it – we planned to meet in said spin class: I would bring the mix1 gear, we could spin, and roll our eyes together.
And oh man… there was so much crowd participation today – lots of shouting “atta boys” and “whoop!”…. it took every muscle in my body to not yell “What’s UP, Karen! Let’s go!” But I didn’t.
So anyway, Karen W. is a badass (pictured to the right). She did Augusta 70.3 last month, finishing around 6 hours (together now, we say: “W-O-W.”).
And on October 29th, she’s doing her first full 140.6! Awesome. She has a great blog, too, so I wanted to share with you guys. Here’s the link to Working It Out.
