5 Day Countdown

I haven’t blogged much.  Because I haven’t done anything worth blogging about. In fact, I don’t even have something good and solid to complain about.

Oh wait, that’s not true.  [I have lots to complain about.] But, as five days until 70.3 is ticking down, I realize I have alot more to be thankful for.

I really am feeling more peace than peril, more faith than fear.  Yes, my hamstring is bothering me, but I think it will be okay by Sunday.  I have five days to rest, ice, rub, repeat.

Admittedly, I’m a tad overwhelmed with the magnitude of 70.3 miles, but only when I think about it in terms of miles, not minutes (hours).  I’m also overwhelmed with gratitude that I have the body that can (maybe) go this distance, the means to get me to Miami, and support from all of you guys.

It’s only been a year on this journey.  And in that year, I’ve learned alot about myself.   I hope it’s only the start.  Because I still have alot to learn.  I am one complex mother.  Bahahahaha.

My best good SBM friend, Charlie sent me this card (yes, a real, live card!  in the mail!!! which is on my fridge) which says  “Keep moving forward my friend.”
I’ve looked at this card everyday – some days where I felt unable to fill my cup with coffee and make it out the door in a forward motion – and I realize how blessed I am to have so many people who care about me, rooting me on.
I thank you all for sharing this journey with me.  I’m kinda at a loss for words.  (For once).
