So driving in to work today, I decided I would write something about getting motivated to do workouts when ya just don’t feel like it.
Speaking of… look at these LAZY Swim Bike Kids walking their bikes up this hill yesterday!
“Get on it kids! Hill repeats!” Sheesh! 🙂
I have been feeling lazy and post-race-y, but I got in a great workout on the trainer last night (POWER!!!) and a 2 mile run…AND some strength and core.
Just needed to get my body moving, and it responded.
(It said, “Pfffft.”)
So I was going to write about that.
And how Coach Brett is pushing me and calling me Buttercup and the like…
But that was before the morning I had.
So.
I went to the local Kroger grocery store to pick up a card and flowers for our admin assistant (administrative professionals day, people – don’t forget your awesome staff people!)… anyway, as I am walking in to the store, I see a girl sitting on the trunk of a car and a guy standing in front of her, kissing on her.
[Okay, so that’s the “PG” version.]
They are making out. Â At 10:00 in the morning. Â Like really, really going at it. Â In the grocery store parking lot.
Okay. Whew.Â
(Sexy, like my bike. Â #IDigress).
….So I go into the store, take forever to buy what I need, and walk back to my car.
That’s when I see that the couple has moved their little session into the Honda Civic. Â In the front seat. And they are doing it. Â With the door open.Â
Yes. Â It.
Doing it. Â
At a Kroger parking lot. On a Wednesday. Â At 10:00 in the morning. Â In a nice part of town. Â For all the world to see.
I can’t help but wonder if 40 or so weeks from now, we’ll have this…
“Well, honey,” the woman says to her child someday,
“…you were made on this awesome day in April…”Â

Yikes!! I witnessed something similar one time while leading community walking groups for my work. Luckily I saw it first and pointed out some flowering trees and started a conversation about them so my group didn’t have to witness it – my ‘hump day’ couple weren’t even in the car! In a crowded park parking lot against your truck is not appropriate! And these folks were old enough to know better.
Seriously. They need to get a room…
It’s called afternoon delight for a reason. 10:00 am is just odd timing.
Then again, maybe that’s the only place they could find condoms and wanted to test them before they left in case they needed to return them?
But who am I to judge, they’re living in the “now.”
Oh lordy…I don’t know if I should cringe, or laugh, or vomit. So many emotions about that!!! yikes. 😉
That bike IS sexy.
Next time, just stand there and watch. Then cheer when they are done because the obviously wantes an audience. o_O
Saw something similar 4 years ago at the beach… eating an early dinner 4:30 ish on a patio overlooking the sound when people starting yelling and whistling at a couple on a nearby pier…. didn’t bother them or slow them down and we had to take the kids somewhere inside for a bit…. Wasn’t ready to have that conversation!!!!
lol so funny your post, well I’ve a little lacy too with my training I did my half iron april 13 and register for a sprint triathlon on may 4 so i’m forcing myself out the door.
I’m really surprised you didn’t get a picture of it 😉 Ewwww….
