…until 70.3 race day.
Funny, Evan Almighty was on the tube last night. I’m sure most of you have seen it – Steve Carrell is a successful senator who is called by God to build an ark. He spontaneously grows a beard, animals start following him… hilarious. A modern day Noah.
Well, I’m starting to feel like a modern day Noah.
The next 40 days are likely to be some sort of flood. Flood of emotions, flood of pain, flood of “I can’ts” followed by “Yes, I can” plus “I don’t wanna” and “Make this stop” and “I can’t take it anymore” and “Please Coach Monster, stop whipping me.”
I just have to remember that I’ve come a long way in just a year.
To running 11 miles yesterday – and not for the first time – but the third time I’ve done that distance, or more. After putting down a 1.2 swim plus 30 mile bike the day before.
Clearly, a year can work miracles.
40 days and 40 nights. Life really is about the journey. Triathlon is seriously a journey.
….But I like to think about the destination being super kick ass.
Please consider a small donation of $5.
WOW – just 40 days… how exciting! Just when you think you aren't making any progress, all you need to do is go back and look at where you came from, right? You are going to rock Miami!
