Ok. Strike that last comment. I just cancelled our trip to Kona. If I see another airplane, I think I will jump out of it. Sydney was super duper awesome, but that flight is ridiculous. The Kona trip was a joyful flight all the way in economy seating too. No thanks. Maybe next year, Ironfolks.

We rolled in late Thursday night, and like a crazy person, I rolled into spin class at 5:30 on Friday morning. I couldn’t sleep anyway. Spin was hard and I was dizzy most of the class. I came back home and tried to sleep when the kids did, but I just managed to cold sweat my way through some sort of crazy nap twilight sleep. Jet lag.

I completed one swim workout Down Under, but I did a tremendous amount of walking, and the bridge climb. Disappointed a little, because I had access to the pool constantly and I was hoping to up my swim game. But it was a tourist pool, and I was the only one sporting the swim cap, if you know what I mean. Excuses, excuses. Yes. Boo to me. I ate trash (well, really good food), so I feel icky coming back. But one must have a plan. And my plan is to jump back on the train, and just get moving again.

One month until the Fall Chill Duathlon (4 mile run, 16 mile bike, 2 mile run). Better get my butt in gear — even if it’s first gear.

  1. Long flights suck!!

So the whole time you were on vacation I ate like I was on vacation with you, and my exercise was sparse at best. I am falling into a deep rut, so I am ready to jump on your train and try to get rolling again!!! I need you to keep making blog posts to keep me motivated!
